The Preliminary Review Form with this lineage was submitted to the Mayflower Society in November of 2017. Here is a portion of their reply:

“Please note that your proposed line is followed through the birth of Samuel, the son of Sarah Soule and Samuel Nichols, in our Mayflower Families Through Five Generations, Vol. 16: John Alden books, covering the accepted descendants of this Mayflower passenger. Thus, our published scholarship covers your proposed line further than any lineage paper previously submitted. For most Mayflower lines, all documentation needed for Mayflower membership through generation 5, and also the generation 6 birth (and in some cases further), is today included in the Mayflower Families Through Five Generations books. So, in this case, all documentation needed through the generation 6 birth is found in the Alden volume.”

So my “burden of proof” is to show that Samuel Nichols, son of Samuel Nichols and Sarah Soule, is the father of Sophia Emily Nichols. I already have clear documentation (birth certificates, etc.) from myself back to Sophia.
